Happy mid-autumn everyone! Not a big fan of shang3 yue4 but i do like mooncakes (and piglets!) and pomelos! always prefer the red-meat types.

My fave mooncake (since young) has always been dark/white lotus with no egg yolk with 'normal' skin~

until i tried Bakerzin's snow skin series.. Ookie i take back my words. <3


This is wad my bro gave me last year; it's the nicest piglet (or ju1 zhai2 in cantonese) i've ever seen lols but don't taste that great. For this year (oops no photos), the piglet he gave had a very nice woven basket (unlike like those red plastic thingy with holes that they usually put piglets lolsss). I'm a fan of such pastry!

Somehow, those with nicer decorations do not taste as great/ original as the cheap ones in red plastic hmmm. perhaps they've compromised the taste?

Anyhow, for those who're still not scared of gorging mooncakes, be sure u don't end up with a mooncake face!
